Integrating your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with the Cityltics platform is a streamlined process designed to maximize your data insights and operational efficiency. This guide outlines the typical steps and timeline for a successful CRM integration.
Our Collaborative Integration Process
Our integration process is divided into six key phases, with clear responsibilities assigned to ensure a smooth transition.
Phase 1: Introduction & Object Requirements
- Responsible Party: Citylitics
- Timeline: Week 1
- Description: We kick off the integration by presenting an introduction to our CRM integration capabilities and discussing the specific objects within your CRM that will be used for the integration.
Note: Citylitics maps data to these three objects commonly: Lead, Deal/Opportunity & Contact Objects
Phase 2: CRM Data Mapping
- Responsible Party: Customer and Cityltics
- Timeline: Week 1-2
- Description: You will collaborate with our team to create a comprehensive mapping table for your CRM. This involves reviewing and confirming how data fields in your CRM correspond to the fields within our system.
Phase 3: CRM Prerequisite Steps
- Responsible Party: Customer
- Timeline: Week 1-2
- Description: This crucial phase involves setting up your CRM for integration.
- Authentication: Depending on your CRM, this may require 'Admin-Level' Access and API-enabled CRM. You will complete a one-time authentication step, allowing our system to securely write data into your CRM.
- Unique Identifier Field: To prevent duplicate records, we recommend creating a new unique ID field or utilizing an existing field in your CRM.
- Lead Source Field (Optional): To better organize your data and insights, we recommend creating a picklist value for "Citylitics" (or a similar term) in your Lead Source field.
Phase 4: Connection and Data Testing
- Responsible Party: Customer and Citylitics
- Timeline: Week 2-4
- Description: Once the prerequisite steps are complete, we move to testing the connection and mapping template via test records, where Cityltics will send 1-2 test records to:
- Sandbox (Optional): If you have a test environment, we highly recommend starting testing in your sandbox to ensure everything is working as expected without impacting live data.
- Production: After successful sandbox testing (or if no sandbox is available), we will test in your production environment to confirm that new records are being created accurately in your CRM.
Phase 5: Back-End Mapping Logic Setup
- Responsible Party: Citylitics
- Timeline: Week 3-4
- Description: Our data engineering team will then add personalized SQL logic into your Citylitics Account to manage the flow and transformation of data according to your specific mapping requirements post the successful Connection and Data Testing.
Phase 6: Launch and Training
- Responsible Party: Citylitics
- Timeline: Week 4-6
- Description: Once the entire setup is complete and thoroughly tested, we will officially launch the integration. We will also provide you with comprehensive training materials and assistance to ensure your team is comfortable and proficient in using the newly integrated systems.
Note: The above-mentioned timeline data is the most commonly seen, but depending on the complexity of your requirements, the timelines may shift, and we will keep you informed accordingly.
