Sidebar Filters (Left Panel)

Use these tools to refine your view of documents:

  • Search Bar: Find documents by keyword or project name.

  • City & State Dropdowns: Filter results by location.

  • Date Range Picker: Show documents uploaded within a specific timeframe.

  • Clear Filters Button: Reset all filters to view the complete dataset.


📂 Understanding the Documents Overview Table

The Documents Overview Table is your main entry point for exploring AI-generated data.

Column Description
 City The city where the project is located.
 State The corresponding state code.
 Document The original file name uploaded for analysis.
 Status Indicates whether the document has been processed.
 Upload Date When the document was uploaded to the system.
 Q&A A “View” button to explore extracted questions and answers.
 Keyword Summary A brief overview of the topics identified in the document.

You can click “View” under the Q&A column to open the full detail modal for that document.


💬 Viewing Extracted Questions & Answers

When you click “View”, a modal window opens showing all of the AI-extracted insights organized by category.

Each section contains:

  • Category Name: (e.g., “Materials,” “Safety,” “Scope of Work”)

  • Questions and Answers: AI-generated pairs summarizing key information from the document.

You can expand or collapse each category to browse efficiently.


👍 Providing Feedback on AI Results

Your feedback helps improve future document extractions.

For each question and answer pair:

  • Click 👍 if the response is accurate or helpful.

  • Click 👎 if it’s incorrect or unclear — you can also enter a brief comment explaining why.

Feedback is securely saved and used to refine future AI performance.

After submitting feedback, you’ll see a success banner confirming that your response has been recorded.


📤 Uploading New Documents

You can add new specification PDFs directly from the dashboard.

  1. Go to the “Upload PDF Files” section at the top of the main panel.

  2. Select the files you would like to be uploaded.

  3. Once uploaded, the document will appear with the status Processing in the Document Table. Our AI-based functionality will automatically process the new documents and extract question-answer data.

  4. Upon completing the processing, the document status will update to Processed. Once processed, you will be able to view the Keyword Summary and Q/A outputs. 

🧹 Clearing Filters

If you’ve applied filters (by city, date, etc.) and want to return to the full dataset, simply click “Reset Filters” at the bottom of the sidebar. The table will reset automatically.


⚙️ Troubleshooting

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Document not appearing The document upload is still processing. Click the Refresh Dashboard button.
File upload failed Unsupported file type or size limit exceeded. Ensure the file is a valid PDF under the size limit
